Overview
Maximum City is iCity’s Youth Outreach Partner. Through collaboration with Maximum City, iCity’s Youth Outreach Program reached local and international middle and high school students participating in Maximum City’s annual summer and March Break programs.

Maximum City is a leading educational social enterprise, founded in 2011 as a pilot project to engage youth in urban problem-solving and sustainable design. Its programs and curriculum have reached thousands of students in locally and worldwide through summer camps, videos, curriculum units, and lesson plans taught in various subject areas at the middle, high school, and university level. Maximum City was incorporated as a public engagement and facilitation firm in 2013.

Maximum City continues to develop impressive resources to support and engage youth to have an impact in the design and evolution of their neighbourhoods. Its flagship YouthScore and YouthScore are online surveys that let kids (12 and under) and youth (13 and up) explore and measure how kid-friendly or youth-friendly an urban area is. Its Street Design Challenge guides youth to learn about street design and to redesign residential and main streets in their neighbourhood.
